We're excited to announce a new step toward creating a healthier, more abundant food system in Worcester. On February 16, the Worcester County Food Bank announced the launch of a new initiative -- the Center on Food Equity. CFE brings together three longstanding local food advocacy organizations with aligned missions, the Worcester Food Policy Council, the City of Worcester Task Force on Food Security, and the Central Mass SNAP Coalition, under one umbrella, allowing them to leverage each of their strengths as they work toward their shared mission of ensuring that every Worcester resident has equitable access to nutritious, culturally appropriate food for themselves and their families. We look forward to collaborating on many innovative projects and initiatives.
