Membership Application Process

  1. If you are interested in being a member of the Steering Committee of the Food Policy Council, the first step is to reach out to our Manager, Martha Assefa and express your interest.
  2. If after talking with Martha you’re still interested, she will invite you to attend a Steering Committee meeting and observe our group.
  3. After you attend a meeting, Martha will set up a one-on-one meeting with you to talk further about the group, how we work together, what we’re looking for in new members, and to see if there is a fit between your skills, assets, and experience and what the Worcester Food Policy Council is or will be working on.
  4. If Martha and others think there is a fit, you will fill out a Membership Application and meet with other members of the group.

Yes, but we request that you RSVP prior to attending so that we can be prepared to include you.

There are lots of other ways to be involved! If you have a specific interest or skill set you’d like to offer, reach out to Martha. We also are hosting periodic events which are a great way to get involved and to network with others with similar interests. Follow our blog or join us on social media to stay up to date.

We are always looking for more guests for the radio show. Contact us and let us know who you are, and what part of the food movement you represent.

We’d love to hear more about your project, and if possible have you present it to our group. Contact us to share more detail.
