We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of Main South Grown, a new Healthy Food Retail initiative, with special thanks to Main South Business Association, Main South CDC, City of Worcester Division of Public Health – Mass in Motion Program, Worcester County Food Bank, Central West Justice Center, Regional Environmental Council, Southeast Asian Coalition, MassDevelopment Transformative Development Initiative, Harvard Pilgim Health Care and Worcester Together.

What?

A new pilot initiative to address gaps in the availability and affordability of healthy prepared food and grab and go options for community members in Main South.

How?

A collaborative partnership with 3 small Latino/Black/Asian owned restaurants to develop a minimum of 3 grab and go health (as defined by the community) options.

Goal?

We envision a “local healthy product line” pilot that leads to improved access to healthy food, stability for small businesses, collaboration wit the Worcester Food Policy Council, and pride and respect for the culinary arts of Main South.

Please stay tuned for more details regarding the launch of Main South Grown.
