A year ago, Lovin Spoonfuls launched its Worcester route, rescuing excess food from supermarkets and other partners, and redistributing it to nonprofit partners that serve people in need throughout Worcester County. One year in, they’ve worked with 11 retailers and 31 nonprofit partners to rescue 288,000 pounds of food. In their latest blog post, the organizaiton looks back at its year, and talks about the people they serve, the lessons learned, and what makes the community so special.
