Dear Friends of the Worcester Food & Active Living Policy Council,

Happy New Year!  I hope that you are all entering into 2016 with excitement and energy – I know I am!  A New Year is a great time to make change in our lives, and I’m about to embark on a change that I’m very excited about.  I have accepted an offer for a new position at the Worcester County Food Bank as their new (and first) Director of Advocacy.  I will start the new position on January 11th and will be located at the Food Bank in Shrewsbury.
As the new Director of Advocacy, my first task will be to hire, train and supervise a new staff person for the Policy Council, and we are already beginning the process.  You can find the description of the position here – please share it far and wide!
Until a new staff person is hired and trained, I will continue to support the Policy Council so that the transition is as seamless as possible and so that we don’t lose any energy and momentum.
While I will certainly miss being the staff of the policy council, I’m very excited for my new role and all the possibilities that come with it.  Because I will be supervising the new Policy Council staff, I will continue to be involved and will, I’m sure, continue to see many of you.  As of January 11th you will be to reach me at lsheehancastro@feedingamerica.org and at 508-842-3663.
I hope you all are enjoying the arrival of winter and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
Sending wishes of peace and joy for the new year,
Sincerely,
Liz
